NEWS
2022 Jan 17 Ream Approaches 250 games and 20000 minutes for Fulham
Tim Ream signed for the Club from Bolton Wanderers in August 2015 after three-and-a-half years with the Trotters. The centre-back joined for an undisclosed fee as he signed a four-year deal and assumed occupancy of the number 13 jersey ahead of his first appearance which came in a 3-1 league victory away to Rotherham United.
Ream would score his first goal for the Cottagers the following season, during a 1-2 home defeat at the hands of West London rivals Queens Park Rangers, with the campaign ending in play-off heartbreak against Reading come May. But the 46-time United States international and his teammates would come back stronger to clinch promotion at the expense of Blues’ Second City neighbours at the end of the 2017/18 campaign, when the defender also was voted Fulham’s player of the season.
This marked the start of a yo-yo period for the Whites, with two relegations from the Premier League coming either side of another taste of play-off glory, but the American remained a constant in Fulham’s plans as he signed three contract extensions and by the end of the season could have 250 appearances in White on his record.

He has a lot of experience in a very competitive league and he’s played in competitive leagues. I think it’s valuable. We talk about the Tim Reams and the Michael Bradleys and (Brad) Guzans, those are guys that have this presence that’s important for a young team. 2018 Apr 10 – Tim Ream, Mr Reliable
2018 Mar 08 Nominated for Player of the Month
Fulham won three and drew two of our matches in February, scoring eight times and conceded just twice. A hat-trick of 2-0 wins at the Cottage saw off Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers, while crucial points were picked up on our travels courtesy of 1-1 draws at Bolton Wanderers and Bristol City.
Ream played every minute in February and was a major contributing factor to his side’s three clean sheets. He’s up against an opponent from Tuesday night in Billy Sharp, Barnsley’s loanee Oli McBurnie, and fellow centre-back Sean Morrison of Cardiff City.
2018 Feb 27 Named to EFL Team of the Week
“Ream stood tall in the Fulham defence, as he and the Cottagers superbly nullified the threat of the Sky Bet Championship leaders in yet another home win.”

2017 August 13 – Ream Reflects on his remarkable transformation
The biggest compliment you can pay Tim Ream is that Fulham fans are now sweating over who will partner him at Elland Road on Tuesday night. The American centre back, a thinker about the game and one of the more cerebral voices in the dressing room, would freely acknowledge that he didn’t have the smoothest of starts to life at Craven Cottage but his assured displays now make him an indispensable member of Slavisa Jokanovic’s back four. Ream was outstanding in the second half of last season but nothing encapsulated the transformation in his own fortunes better than his peerless performance as the organiser of the back line at Reading on Saturday.

2017 February 07 – Following the narrow 1-0 defeat against Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon, Tim Ream admitted that the red card was a “game changer” but was quick to highlight that the Whites were not at their best despite the sending off. After four league games away from home, the American defender is looking forward to getting back to Craven Cottage after a full week of training.
With two games in the Championship prior to the Emirates FA Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur, Ream wants Fulham to solidify their standing in the league and look to push up the table in search of the Play-Off spots.
2017 February 07 – Fulham defender explains improved form at Craven Cottage
Last season, the west Londoners were much more vulnerable defensively but, under the Serbian, Ream and co have looked much more solid. And, with Fulham playing the ball out from the back, the American believes it has lifted his confidence and he is playing to his strengths.

2015 September 5 – Ream Delivers Strong Performance for USMNT
Overall, Ream played the fullback position with relative ease, something unseen earlier in his career. Having developed in the position as a member of Bolton, Ream has grown in recent seasons, developing a certain level of versatility that is very appreciated in a national team.
2015 September 5 – What We Learned from USAvPERU
Ream was one of the best players on the field. His calm and composed demeanor helps everyone around him to play out of the back. Defending-wise he was everywhere disrupting the Peru attacks and being a steady influence on the back line.
2015 September 4 – Player Ratings for USA-PERU (Soccer America)
6 – Tim Ream (Fulham/ENG) 16/0.
Challenged by several different Peruvian flank attackers and usually won the battles once he adjusted to the pace. Slide-tackles and step-ups were strong and well-timed. Also won a couple of duels in the air and played early balls that reached their target most of the time.
2015 September 4 – Player Ratings for USA-PERU (NBC Sports)
LB — Tim Ream: 8/10 — Ream got a much-deserved start in the defense tonight, and should hold onto his spot after putting in a strong performance. It’s a surprise he hasn’t gotten more of a run with the USMNT over his career.
2015 September 3 – USA Defender Tim Ream is a Man in Demand
Ream shoulders his responsibilities day after day without deviating from the task set in front of him. His steadiness earned him supporters’ player of the year honors at Bolton Wanderers in each of the past two seasons. It also set the stage for him to emerge from the shadows and step into the spotlight this summer.
2015 September 2 – Evaluating Fulham’s Transfer Window
Ream was a consistent Championship defender, and has already made our defense look more composed. Overall, Ream is classy acquisition that adds to Fulhamerica.
2015 August 25 – Tim starts for first time with Fulham
2015 August 25 – MLS American Exports
Tim Ream played 80 minutes in the heart of defense to celebrate a winning debut, a 3-0 blanking of guests Sheffield United. Though the defender did have one bad early turnover that forced Andrew Lonergan into a save, he was given a standing ovation at the end of a solid first showing for the Cottagers.
2015 August 25 – The Sean Davis Column
We had our first glimpse of Tim Ream on Tuesday and he had a solid debut. I was with Tim a little bit at Bolton when he first signed from New York Red Bulls. He’s a very good defender who gets touch-tight to his man, he’s got a nice left foot and he’s very comfortable on the ball, so he’ll be a great addition to the squad.

2015 August 5 – No Short Corners Names Tim Ream USMNT Top Left Back
Yup. Klinsi wants to play the ball out of the back, we all want to. So, to me, it seems kinda obvious Ream needs a good look on the left. His experience playing in the center adds another set piece marker and he can also deliver restarts at the other end.
2015 August 5 – on Tim Ream: Why He’s Worth Keeping
I long for the day when the American is thrust back into the defensive midfield role in which he excelled previously. There, and with another defensive screen beside him to do the physical work, I believe that his ability on the ball would come to the fore.
2015 August 4 – Bolton rejects QPR bid for Tim Ream

2014 October 8 – Ream re-establishing his defensive Role (in USMNT)
27-year-old U.S. defender Tim Ream is set to resume his comeback after a three-year stint away from the U.S. MNT. Ream is hoping to follow up his second-half appearance during the USA’s 1-0 win against the Czech Republic on Sept. 3 in Prague. That was his first game since the U.S. MNT’s 1-0 loss to Ecuador on Oct. 11, 2011.
