2017 February 20 – Ledbetter Signs with Saint Louis FC
Ledbetter participated in the 2017 MLS Combine before being drafted by FC Dallas in the Third Round with the 53rd overall pick. He joins Saint Louis FC as an unsigned free agent.

2017 January 17 – Ledbetter chosen by FC Dallas in MLS Draft
SIUE senior Austin Ledbetter became the fifth men’s soccer alum to be drafted into Major League Soccer in the last four years. He was selected Tuesday in the third round (no. 53 overall) by FC Dallas.

Ledbetter was a four-year starter on the backline for the Cougars making 79 appearances in four years. After not finding the back of the net in his first three seasons, Lebetter exploded for six goals in 2016 to tie for the team lead.

Ledbetter was named 2016 Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, earning First Team All-Conference honors for a second-straight season.

COLLEGE
2016: Selected as an All-West Region first team pick by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)…Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year…Most Valuable Player of MVC Tournament…Led SIUE’s backline which boasted a goals against average of 0.71…Tied for the team lead in goals with six while starting all 22 games.

2015: NSCAA All-West Region first team selection…All-Missouri Valley Conference first team selection…MVC All-Tournament team selection…Anchored the SIUE defense, playing nearly every minute for the Cougars on the backline, which registered a 0.72 goals against average, which was second-best in the MVC….Hit the game-clinching penalty kick during the shootout to advance SIUE past Loyola in the semifinals of the MVC Tournament…Attempted five shots during the season, including three on goal.

2014: Honorable mention All-MVC selection…Appeared in 20 games, making 19 starts on defense for the Cougars…Picked up his first career point, an assist 10/22 at Northern Illinois…Collected six shots for the year.

2013: A member of the MVC All-Freshman Team…One of just four players on the team to start all 19 games for SIUE…Operating as a center back, led a Cougars back four that allowed just 17 goals all season…Recorded six shots all season, including four on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL
Came to SIUE from St. Louis Scott Gallagher, where he helped his club team to the finals of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Nationals in 2012 … Was a second team All-State selection as well as a first team All-Metro and All-Conference pick his junior season at Christian Brothers Academy … Was ranked the No. 121 recruit in the country by collegesoccernews.com.

A bit of @stlcityacademy news - @mykhi_joyner is joining the U17 squad from SLSG. He's the lad that struck the late winner for the U16 SLSG team when they won the derby game in November. A very bright talent.
New Twitter account for this lad where he's posted a highlight video and it now also includes the goal he scored against Chicago to open the season and was the first goal for the Academy.
